Get Leverage For Your Internet Business By Outsourcing

The purpose of leverage is to achieve the maximum advantage with bare minimum effort. Specifically, for Internet Marketers that means most profit with minimum personal involvement.Prior articles described ways of obtaining leverage by 1) re-using content, and 2) re-purposing. In this article, we'll focus on obtaining leverage by outsourcing routine, or non-value-add work, and any work that simply doesn't fit our personal skills, experience and/or nature.Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman recounted some interesting findings from more than 25 years of research by the Gallup organization - initially in their book, First, Break All the Rules: What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently, and then elaborating on those findings in several subsequent books. Two of their most important findins for online marketers and home-based business owners in general are these: 1) Emphasis your strengths, not your weaknesses, and 2) Hire staff for talent.Affiliate business has a rather large learning curve and involves a lot of different skills. Unfortunately, few people are personally skilled at all of them - and even those who are may not be making the best use of their available time and other skills to focus on areas that are relative weaknesses for them.William of Occam, best known for "Occam's Razor," has stated: "It is vain to do with more what can be done with less."Tim Ferriss, author of "The 4-Hour Workweek" is a big supporter of the use of virtual assistants to handle repetitive, non-value-add tasks or those for which he does not have either the time or inclination to perform. Contrary to popular opinion, outsourcing is not restricted to the world of giant corporations, but given the low cost of international virtual assistants, even small, home-based companies can afford to outsource a lot of tasks to virtual assistants. One task that many internet marketers choose to outsource is article marketing. They see the value of article marketing, but either don't can't write well, or simply don't want to, so they outsource those writing tasks to ghost-writers. Another task you might consider outsourcing to a virtual assistant (or call center) is the telephone and email follow-up required for lead generation and sales closings. If you improve your areas of strength, you can multiply your results, whereas, focusing on improving areas of weakness will, at best, result in only an incremental improvement in results. Which would you rather do - multiply your results, or simply see incremental improvements?

Using Internet Forums To Build Your Online Business Profile

Free publicity is something that no Internet marketer would turn down. Forum marketing is a a good example of a free marketing technique that uses Online forums as a way of advertising business websites. As long as you do it in in good order it can benefit your business in several ways. So what exactly is an Internet forum? An Internet forum is a membership website on which users can post their own comments and opinions about various topics. Anybody who joins a forum website can read and respond to the contents that are posted on the forum website.

As forum members submit responses to ongoing conversations, the topic thread grows longer and can go on for several pages. There is no limit to how long a conversation can go on unless the administrator decides to lock the thread. Anybody can begin a new topic by clicking a "New Topic" button. To find a forum that focuses on your line of business, simply run a search on your favourite search engine. For example if you are selling yachts, you might enter "yachting forum" in the search field and see what comes up.How can you make a name for yourself and advertise your website business without spamming a forum? That is a serious question as there are not many active forums that will put up with spammers. If you insist on posting self-promotional post the post will most likely be removed, and you might even be expelled from the forum. The way to link back to your website from forum posts without getting into trouble is to set up a link in the signature file. A signature file is a short piece of text plus a link to your website that you can have appear at the foot of every comment you post. A signature file can be set up in the "User Control Panel" on most forums. On numerous forums you can add an avatar, a thumbnail-sized photo or graphic, that'll appear each time you submit a comment. It is a good idea to use an actual photo of yourself to show how friendly you really are! Similarly, it's a good idea to use your real name on the forum to let people know that you're a real person running a real business. What is a good way to start out on the forum? The best method to ease yourself into a forum is to say hello in the "new members" section, if there is one, and then to read and contribute to some ongoing conversations. Don't be in too much of a hurry to post comments though. First, get a feel for the character of the forum. When you are ready to dive in, start by posting some questions about topics of interest to the forum members. Questions are always useful because they help other people to respond and they also demonstrate a willingness to learn on your part.Once you have established yourself on the forum, you can start some new topic threads of your own and begin to add some more substantial contributions to quietly demonstrate your expertise in your particular field. In short, the best way to benefit from an Internet forum is to participate fully in the life of the forum. By helping others you will help yourself by building up a great reputation that will make people more likely to want to check out your website via your signature link.

Internet Marketing Examples For Your Website

It seems like everyone is marketing things online these days, but some of the internet marketing examples you find online or in marketing strategy books just don’t seem to fit with your site or your marketing plan. Some, in fact, deal with spamming or posting your website all over, and you may not be very comfortable with that. Below are some marketing examples that may be more in like with your personal philosophy. The more important practice in internet marketing is to be careful with your website. Many people, especially those who have never done a website before, want to make it very colorful or use a lot of fancy animation and such. After all, the idea is to make it grab the viewer’s attention, right?

Not exactly! While walking past a decorated store window may grab people’s attention, it doesn’t quite work that way online. No one is simply walking past your site—if they’re on your page, they you’ve got their attention. What you want to convey right off is what your site or business is about and what you can offer them, not blind them with bright colors. Those fancy flash menus, movies, and animation aren’t necessary, either. The menus can be fine, but you want to minimize the number of animations and large graphics on your main page. These graphics can take extra time to download, and the animations might actually cause your viewer’s computer to act up if they don’t have the right version of Flash or other add-on installed. The menus, too, can cause some issues with older versions of internet browsers. Look for some internet marketing examples that use menus that require no extra add-ons or use add-ons that are very, very common. You don’t want a potential customer leaving your website in annoyance because your menu didn’t load or work correctly.Be aware of the amount of content on your pages, too. Users don’t always want to read huge chunks of text on their monitors, especially since it bothers some people’s eyes. Instead, break up your text into different pages. That’s not to say that you want a bunch of short pages, but you want each major topic or area to have its own page. If you’re selling items from your website, make certain to set up a way to search your site for particular items. You’ll also want to allow the user to browse your products by different ways—product name, price, and product category are good ideas. Give your customer as many options for finding things as you can. It’s hard to say exactly what a “great” website is, especially since what’s good and bad can differ by industry or niche. The best advice for designing your website and for marketing on the internet in general is to look at sites in the same market as your site. Incorporate things you like from those sites into yours. The best internet marketing examples, after all, are successful site that attract a lot of customers
